“And it didn’t matter to me who you were. I loved you just the same.”
After so long on my own, I’d learned to live in the solitude. But the second you entered my life, it felt like the first sunrise I’d felt in forever. The longer I was in your presence was like a warm blanket by a fire. It was cozy. It was safe. And it didn’t matter to me who you were, what you looked like, or that you were the opposite sex. I loved you just the same.
A great best friend doesn’t discriminate.
